It is the duty of all employers to ensure that their staff are competent and confident in carrying out their responsibilities for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

This introductory course will build that foundation to ensure your team understand:

• roles and responsibilities regarding safeguarding and protection
• recognising and identifying signs of abuse and neglect
• how to respond to disclosure or suspected abuse
• best practices when working with children and young people

The course is aimed at those who are in contact with children and young people in areas such as Voluntary Organisations, Community Groups, Schools, Playgroups etc.

This course is non-accredited. All delegates will be receive a company certificate of competence upon completion of the course.
